
Dealing with Nuisance & Anti-Social Behaviour
The Association expects all tenants to exercise a degree of responsibility in conducting their tenancy when living in Association property with a view to being a good neighbour within their communities.
The Association has policies and methods for dealing with irresponsible behaviour that is a detrimental to neighbours and the community as a whole.
Tenant responsibilities include the following:
Responsibility for the behaviour of every person (including children) living in or visiting the tenants home including responsibility for their behaviour in the home, on surrounding land, in communal arrears (stairs, lifts, landing, entrance halls, paving, shared gardens, parking areas) and in the locality around the home.
Not causing nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to any other person in the locality of your home.
Examples of nuisance, annoyance or disturbance could include:
Loud Music
Arguing and door slamming
Dog barking and fouling
Offensive drunkenness
Selling drugs or drug abuse
Rubbish dumping
Not harassing any other person.
Examples of harassment could include:
Racist behaviour or language
Using or threatening to use violence
Using abusive or insulting words or behaviour
Damaging or threatening to damage property or possessions
Writing threatening, abusive or insulting graffiti
Doing anything that interferes with the peace, comfort and convenience of other people
