Rent Payments & Arrears |
Tenants have the option of paying their rent in a variety of ways. You can pay by cash at any Post Office using a "girobank rent book". You can pay by cheque at the office or by posting the same to the office.
The Association does not usually accept cash at the office and you should never send cash through the post. Alternatively you can choose to set up a standing order by paying rent weekly or monthly directly into the Associations bank account. Many of our tenants qualify for assistance with their rent through Housing Benefit.
Should a resident have a query over their housing benefit or would like to apply, the staff at our office can assist you with doing so. The Association has policies in dealing those residents who go into rent arrears.
The worst-case scenario can be losing your home. Any tenant who is in arrears of feels they might be struggling with their rent should contact staff at the office for guidance and assistance.
More information can be found in the Tenant Handbook.
